During our period of closure in response to the novel coronavirus, New York residents can apply for a library card through the SimplyE app and gain access to an array of digital resources—including e-books, audiobooks, databases, and more—plus borrow physical materials through our temporary Grab & Go service.

  • Lynda.com
    Lynda.com is an online educational site that includes over 5,700 courses (and over 180,000 videos) in popular fields like web design, web development, IT, education/instruction, media production, and business. Experts create and deliver all courses as well as provide supplemental materials like exercise files and relevant work samples.

  • Mango Languages
    Learn a new language with this interactive database that provides step by step lesson plans for 71 different languages. This database also features ESL lessons for Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese speakers. A text translator is provided. Also available as a mobile app.
